Cookie Policy

Last updated: November 8, 2026.

This is the updated Cookie Policy, which takes effect on November 8, 2026. Until then, the current Cookie Policy applies.

Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how HuddleSpy LLC ("HuddleSpy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on huddlespy.com. HuddleSpy does not set any cookies. It uses your browser's local storage and an offline cache, both listed below.

We do not display a cookie banner. HuddleSpy loads no third-party advertising, analytics, or session-recording code. Each item below either keeps the site working (keeping you signed in, signing you out after inactivity, working offline), remembers a choice you made (theme, dismissing a prompt), or remembers how you first arrived until you create an account.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. HuddleSpy does not use them. Instead it uses browser localStorage — a similar technology that stores data locally on your device without expiring at the end of a browser session — and browser Cache Storage, which keeps copies of pages and assets so the site can work offline.

Local Storage We Use

Name/KeyPurposeTypeDuration
sb-<project-ref>-auth-tokenYour sign-in session (access and refresh tokens, stored together as one value)localStorageUntil sign-out or token expiry
huddlespy-themeYour light/dark mode preferencelocalStoragePersistent
last_activeTimestamp of your last activity, used to sign you out automatically after 24 hours of inactivity. Not sent to our servers.localStoragePersistent (cleared on sign-out)
huddlespy_welcomedRecords that you have seen the first-visit welcome dialog, so it is not shown againlocalStoragePersistent
huddlespy-install-dismissedRecords that you dismissed the “install this app” prompt, so it is not shown againlocalStoragePersistent
hs_attributionHow you first arrived: the domain of the site that referred you and any campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) in the link. It stays in your browser and is sent to us only if you create an account, as described in our Privacy Policy.localStoragePersistent
huddlespy-v9Offline cache of pages and assets so the site keeps working without a connection. The number changes as the app updates, and older caches are deleted.Cache StorageUntil the next app update

Sponsored Content & Third Parties

Sponsored content on HuddleSpy is served from our own systems. Advertisers do not place cookies, pixels, or other tracking code on the site, and HuddleSpy does not participate in any advertising network. If you follow a link to an advertiser or another website, that site's own cookie and privacy policies apply there.

Managing Local Storage

You can control local storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential local storage may prevent HuddleSpy from functioning correctly, including preventing you from signing in. Clearing localStorage resets your theme preference, signs you out of your current session, and removes any first-visit details not yet sent with a sign-up.

Changes to This Policy

Changes to this Cookie Policy are handled the same way as changes to our Privacy Policy: if we begin using cookies, storage, or third-party code for advertising, tracking, or analytics by a third party, we will ask for your agreement first; other changes take effect when posted with an updated date.
